So you are going to Disney World and you pack all the usually: clothes, camera, and toothbrush, but this list is about those items that you need to take on top of everything else.
Number 5: Hat.

Of course you can buy official hats in Disney World with your favourite characters on but you want to take a hat you are not fussed about.
This is because you will get wet by the weather or a ride, also you want a hat with you at all times in the Florida sun even when you go to a pool or a water park.
So pack a hat that is comfy and you are not fussed about.

Number 4: Straws
To fight the war on plastic waste Disney are doing their bit by having paper straws in all the parks, so if you are annoyed at McDonalds' paper straws buy and pack some before you go.
There is a number of different reusable straws out there like bamboo, silicone, or metal, so to avoid having paper straws falling apart in your drink buy your own reusable straws.

Number 3: Charging packs
If you are going to take photos on your phone and use the My Disney Experience app in the parks this a must.
Disney do have their own charger packs in the parks, but to save yourself some money and time bring your own.
I personally have a pack with two USB slots and recharged it every night we were staying at Disney.
It was really useful to have on me in case I needed to charge my phone because I kept using My Disney Experience app to check for fast passes.

Number 4: Cooling towels
I really wished I had this on my last visit. I saw so many people with the towels around their necks and asked a staff member about them they said they kept selling out and only really available at Disney Springs (I will do a post on this soon).
If you have found this summer's heat to much you will need this for Florida.
I have no idea how it works and as I said we really wanted to pick some up during our last visit but could not.
I am going to buy one before my next visit.
Number 5: Comfy shoes

This is a must!! You will walk so much when you are visiting Disney World. The important element of this is the comfy part. Make sure you have not brought your new shoes day before you leave with out breaking them in; buy your shoes a few months in advance so you can get use to them.
Before my party's last visit we each got a pair of Skechers which was fantastic and made the walking bearable.
Make sure your shoes are waterproof they will get wet by the weather or a ride, also because of this you will need a spare pair for when you leave your others to dry out.
