So as voted on my Instagram I am writing about food for this post and I am going to focus on quick (counter) service restaurants and give you an idea of what is available and where.

I have written about the Disney Dining Plan but I am going to write about what is offered at Walt Disney World. As I have said before it is not just all burgers and hot dogs, they are available, but other options are around.

One thing to note a lot of the counter service restaurants now have mobile order, where you use the My Disney Experience app to order your food without having to line up, tell the app when you are at the restaurant and then pick your food up from the Mobile Order area. The icon for Mobile Order is a small rectangle like a phone with an knife and fork in the corner. This will stop your family from having to wait around and enjoy more of the park.

The structure of the blog is going to be organised by the different parks and what restaurants offer fast food (counter service) and what food do they offer.

Please be aware I won't be able to list everything such as food trucks, so when you are walking round keep an eye for any food you may enjoy such as popcorn, ice creams or drinks. One food truck you may want to look out for is in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom that sells different types of spring rolls - The cheeseburger spring roll is amazing!

Magic Kingdom

I have written about some of the choices on Main Street USA there is StarBucks at the bakery, the ice cream parlor, and Casey's Corner which is based on Baseball favourites such as hot dogs and corn dog nuggets.

In Adventureland there is one favourite snack which is dole whip, a Mr Whippy like ice cream, this is available at Sunshine Tree Terrace and Aloha Isle. It is a brilliant snack to have in the Florida sun.

Golden Oak Outpost is where you can grab some nuggets to have on the go and if you want something more filling then Tortuga Tavern has hot dogs and turkey legs for sale here with a seating area. Also, when I went for my honeymoon we joined in with the Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom and this was a trading place for the cards which is where we were able to get some new cards.

Frontierland has two quick service points, Westward Ho and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Pecos Bill has a great selection of TexMex food items such as tacos, fajitas, and South-west burgers, whereas Weasteard Ho offers frozen lemonade if you need to cool down and grab a quick snack such as crisps or a corn dog.

Liberty Square has a different range of places for a quick bite to eat. Firstly, Liberty Square market has some good choices for a snack such as fruit or crisps and can even pick up a simple hot dog.

Sleepy Hollow is usually a quiet spot (with a great view of the castle) and a grab place to go for a treat - they offer waffle sandwiches or funnel cakes and can have fruit, cream or ice cream.

The other quick stop is Columbia Harbour House which offers a range different food there is fried food such as chicken or shrimp, clam cowder, salmon and salads, so there is more choice, might be a good choice for picky eaters.

Pinocchio Village Haus is in Fantasyland which offers quick Italian choices such pizza, pasta and chicken parmesan sandwiches, but be warned this is very popular and can be very busy at key points such as midday and evenings.

The Friar's Nook offers potato tots covered in buffalo chicken and cheese as well as offer snack options.

Storybook Treats offer soft serve ice, sundaes, and floats, and Gaston's Tavern also offers dessert items such as cinnamon roll and fruit cups, there is also healthy items like hummus with crisps. The signature item of Gaston's is Lefou's Brew.

Prince Eric's Village Market is like Liberty Square's market with a selection of fruit and vegetables.

Near the Mad Tea Party ride there is the Cheshire Cafe with juice drinks and pastries the signature dish here is the Cheshire Cat Tail which has purple and pink icing on like the Cheshire Cat.

In Tomorrowland Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe is a place where you can get a bacon cheeseburger, I did say they were around, or chicken nuggets. There is a topping bar to customise your burger. But be warned this restaurant is also popular and can be busy at peak times.

For ice cream in this area of Magic Kingdom there is Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies were there is also floats, soft drinks, and milk available.

Churros is available in this area at Cool Ship, and finally another restaurant in this area is The Lunching Pad where hot dogs and crisps are for sale but there is also speciality pretzels and frozen soft drinks as a change of pace.

EPCOT

As I have said in my other blogs EPCOT is my favourite place to go for food there is such a variety.

So again I will do this going round the park so to start we have Future World, and there is a couple of quick service places around the fountains.

first up is Fountain View which is where you can get a cup of Starbucks coffee. Across the other side of the fountains is Electric Umbrella it has nuggets and burgers with seating inside and out. Just so you are aware the fountain area will be closing in the winter as Disney has described "as part of the exciting transformation of EPCOT".

Outside Test Track there is Test Track Cool Wash which has a selection a frozen soft drinks and crisps available.

Across the other side of Future World there is a couple more quick service points based around the Land pavilion. Firstly, just outside the pavilion there is The Land Healthy Snack Cart there is fruit and cheese, vegetables, hummus, and pretzels with some drinks available.

In side there is Sunshine Seasons which is a food court set up with so many different choices for everyone to have prefect for picky eaters, also the food is from the greenhouses from the Living in the Lands boat tour.

Now for World Showcase, each pavilion pretty much has somewhere to pick up a quick bite to eat.

Before entering Canada there is a seasonally stop which has different options depending on the time of the year.

Further along towards Canada is The Refreshment Port with soft serve ice-cream and speciality poutines.

Now actually in Canada itself is Popcorn in Canada with flavoured popcorn and drinks.

Into the UK pavilion there is a couple of stands outside the Rose and Crown pub; firstly, there is the beer chart which sells a selection of beers and ciders. Also, there is the Yorkshire County Fish Shop which, again it is all in the name, sells fish and chips.

Onto France now, there is three different choices in France. First, there is Les Vins des Chefs de France which sells a range of French drinks. Next, there is L'Artisan des Glaces where you can pick scoops of ice cream and sorbets. Finally, right at the back is Les Halles Boulangerie - Patisserie, which is amazing if you have a sugar craving or need a quick bite, because there is baguettes and pastries to choose from.

For a very different experience there is Tangierine Cafe in Morocco which offers shawarma platters or for the children some nuggets and burgers.

Continuing around World Showcase next up is Japan. The quick choice is Katsura Grill with Japanese choices including teriyaki or sushi.

Between Japan and America there is a few quick stall selling Kabuki, beers and funnel cakes.

Liberty Inn has recently closed to become Regal Eagle Smokehouse so keep an eye out for that in the future.

Gelati is available at the Italy pavilion with different options, and Sommerfest in at Germany with different Germany dessert options such as black forest cake and strudel, it is also has frankfurters and bratwurst.

In Africa Outpost there is Refreshment Outpost with drinks, snacks, and African nibbles available.

China has the Joy of Tea stand which sells, you guessed it, Tea. Further into the pavilion, lies Lotus Blossom Cafe which sells range of Chinese dishes.

There is another bakery in Norway called Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe selling flatbreads and sweet pretzels.

Like other pavilions there is a drinks counter selling margaritas, and the final quick service in EPCOT is La Cantina de San Angel selling a range of Mexican dishes.

Hollywood Studios

Like the other two parks the first quick service you will come across is a Starbucks in the Trolley Car Cafe.

The next area, Sunset Boulevard, has the most counter service restaurants in Hollywood Studios. Down this street there is a choice of all the family favourites offering, and the first one is Anaheim Produce and like Liberty Square's Market it offers fresh fruit and other snacking items.

Catalina Eddie's and Rosie's All-American Cafe are next to each other and offer different dishes. Catalina Eddie's offer pizzas and Caesar salads, whereas Rosie's offer, what you might think with All-American in the name, burgers, hot dogs, and nuggets.

Just outside the entrance of Tower of Terror is another two food points, Fairfax Fare and Hollywood Scoops. Fairfax Fare has a mixture of different rice bowls or pulled pork sandwiches, or even fajitas combo platter. Hollywood Scoops is the place to go for a dessert anything visiting any of the above to have some ice cream either with cookies, brownies, or as a sundae.

Finally outside Rock 'n' Roller coaster is the KRNR the Rock Station where you can pick up a hot dog.

Next to Echo Lake you can pick up a covered hot dog, pull pork sandwich or some loaded nachos, this has just got some outside seating near the lake.

In this area you can also pick some funnel cakes from a kiosk called Epic Eats which is just outside the Indiana Jones Stunt Show.

In the same area, kind of behind the Stunt Show and next to Star Tours is the Backlot Express which offers a range of sandwiches or burgers.

Past Star Tours and into Grand Avenue is PizzeRizzo which offers a range of pizzas or maybe a meatball sub.

Around this same area of the park is Comissary Lane which has ABC commissary which has the most selection so far with a range of platter including ribs, fish, shrimps, and chicken. There is also burgers, club sandwiches, and salads available as well. In comparison to the other restaurants I have mentioned so far, ABC commissary has inside seating so therefore is extremely popular at peak hours or rainy weather.

Past Animation Courtyard and towards Pixar place there is a couple more food stops that is Market and Neighbourhood Bakery. Market offers quick snack options and Neighbourhood Bakery has a sandwich, pretzel and cookies for sale.

In Toy Story Land there is Woody's Lunch Box which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

As part of the breakfast menu there is different sandwiches, fruit and yogurt, and a breakfast bowl. The lunch and dinner menu has a few sandwiches and "totchos" which is Potato barrels topped with chili and cheese.

Finally, the newest area in Hollywood Studios opening August 29th, Galaxy's Edge. There is a popcorn stand called Kat Saka's Kettle which will have coloured popcorn with a mix of flavours of sweet and spicy. Finally, the last quick service restaurant in Hollywood Studios is Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The restaurant will offer a breakfast menu as well as lunch and dinner menu. The breakfast menu will have a breakfast plate with eggs, sausage, potatoes or overnight oats with dragon fruit and seasonal fruit, and a sweet option called Mustafarian Lava Roll. For Lunch and Dinner the menu is made up of a mixture of food options including Beef pot roast, Pork ribs, Chilled shrimp and noodles, Fried chicken or chicken salad. Be aware each dish have their own unique alien names so you will need to read the description.

Animal Kingdom

Again looking at the different restaurants by the areas they in the first ones you will come across will be on Discovery Island (the area around the Tree of Life) going clockwise around the island from the entrance the first restaurant is Pizzafari offering a range of different pizzas.

Further round near Africa, there is a couple of quick service stops Creature Comforts for your Starbucks in this park and Terra Treats for a simple pizza or meatball slider if you need a quick bite to eat.

Eight Spoon Cafe is on Discovery Island next to the bridge to Asia which has Mac and Cheese for sale with different toppings.

Next towards Dinoland USA is my favourite counter service restaurant Flame Tree Barbeque. It has ribs, chicken, and pulled pork either as a sampler or it's own plate, make sure you put this on your list of places to visit.

Before crossing the bridge into Dinoland USA there is a kiosk to pick up a quick snack such as an ice cream bar or a pretzel.

In Pandora there is a counter service restaurant that offers breakfast menu and a lunch and dinner menu. The breakfast has three options either sausage and egg biscuit, French toast sticks, or a pineapple cream cheese spring roll. For lunch or dinner you can still have the spring roll or the colossal pretzel.

Next stop is Africa where there is a selection if different food choices. Mahindi sells popcorn, Tamu Tamu refreshments has Dole whip for sale with some other drinks, Dawa Bar has a range of cocktails , beers, and wine for sale.

Another drink stall in Asia is Drinkwallah which has frozen soft drinks for sale.

Where as the lunch and dinner menu offers Teriyaki beef, sesame chicken, kobe beef burgers, kobe beef hot dogs, chicken salad, and vegetable tikka masala.

Next to Yak and Yeti main counter there is a snack counter called Yak and Yeti Quality Beverages whihc sells chicken wrap, chicken salad, or a turkey leg.

Heading towards Everest there is a couple more stalls, Anandapur Ice Cream Truck for a cool dessert stop, or Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks for popcorn, hummus, pretzel, crisps, cookies, or ice cream bars.

The final land is Dinoland USA. Dino diner is a food truck where you can pick up Corn Chip Pie (loaded Nachos), or a hot dog.

Dino-Bite Snacks has scoops of ice cream for sale with waffle cone, or ice cream sandwiches, or sundaes, or a float.

The indoor diner in this land is Restaurantosaurus. There is burgers, sandwiches, salads, nuggets, and shrimp all up for grabs and there is a huge amount of seating area to have a nice sit down.

Finally, Trilo-Bites which has a mixture of different food including Buffalo chicken chips, Ice cream, or a milk shake.

That is a lot of the quick/ counter service food points. Share which is your favourite and what dishes would you recommend?

If you are looking for anything in particular that I haven't covered comment below and I will answer.

I know I haven't written much about vegetarian options, but that doesn't mean that it is not offered. My reason for not writing about it is that I cannot remember what the restaurants offer as their veggie choice.

If this is something you are interested in then let me know and I will either write a blog about it or include in your personal bespoke plan.
